‘Cartel Call’ scam hitting local businesses
YUMA, Ariz. (KECY/KSWT/KYMA) - Yuma Police Department (YPD) is alerting the community of a new scam they've found in our community.
A man calls local businesses claiming to be part of the Mexican Cartel. He then threatens to send two armed men if their demands are met.
YPD says to not answer any phone calls from numbers that you do not recognize especially if they are from out of the country. If you must answer make sure not to give any personal information.
