Juvenile accused of threatening three Arizona schools
Police in a Tucson suburb say they’ve arrested a juvenile in connection with online threats against three schools.
Threats began circulating on social media Monday. One included photos of firearms and comments about shooting hundreds of students.
The Sahuarito Unified School District canceled classes Tuesday as a precaution. Students will return to school on Wednesday.
Police took a teenager into custody. That juvenile now faces both felony and misdemeanor charges of making terrorist threats, interfering and disrupting an educational institution, and using an electronic device to make threats.
The name and gender of that student as not been released.
Police continue to investigate.
