Bridget’s Gift raffle underway

On a warmer than most afternoon, members of the local non-profit group Bridget’s Gift gathered to promote their annual raffle. Although, the raffling off of a vehicle isn’t a new thing local philanthropist and business owner Chris Miller wanted to raise the stakes and took an ordinary off-road vehicle and handed the keys over to a local fabricator.

This year, the vehicle was dropped off at Essary Power Sports who specialize in almost anything on wheels and cater to those who enjoy the need for speed and who want unique vehicles. They worked with other local businesses to give this Polaris Rzr a custom roll cage, paint and a new wrap. Now, what started of as a $15,000 vehicle is closer to $60,000. But, for $25 you could have a shot at taking this mean machine home.

Locally, the name Bridget’s Gift has become a household name; an organization built by friends and family of Bridget Orta Martinez who lost her battle against cancer. Since then, they’ve raised funds for women and men battling cancer in Yuma County

The raffle is just one event used by Bridget’s Gift to raise funds for their efforts. Just around the corner the non-profit will host their annual pink party and their highly anticipated western concert featuring Country Music Recording Artist Justin Moore.

For those interested in scratching off that item on their bucket list or just looking to add a little excitement to their weekends here’s the latest details. You have until October 19, 2019 to enter to win; the winner will be announced during a special event at the Cocopah Speedway.
