Missing man found dead

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), confirmed that local missing man James Edward Degan was found dead on Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, officers received a call in reference to a deceased subject in a retention basin located in the 12900 block of East 48th Drive.

When officers arrived at the scene they confirmed it was Mr. Degan.

Mr. Degan went missing on Tuesday, September 10 and was last seen leaving his home when his family reported the incident.

YCSO said Mr. Degan’s family has been notified of the incident.
