Family of of missing man speaks out

The search continues for the missing Yuma man who was last seen by family Tuesday night. The family of James Edward Degan spoke to News 11 in hopes of bringing their loved one back home.

“Right before I went to work at like 1 in the afternoon, and he was sitting right here with my mother,” said Kimberly Degan, the daughter of James Degan.

Her worst fear happened when she returned from work that night. Her mother told her the devastating news, that her father had left and never came home. Kimberly said her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s four years ago.

“The hardest part of the situation in the foothills about 70 percent of the population is still out of town, so if he had gotten into a garage, or cabin we wouldn’t know,” said Kimberly.

Kimberly said the search for her beloved father continues and asks the community for a helping hand to get her hero back home.

“You might not know us, but you don’t know might’ve seen him so it’s important to get it out there just share, please were begging to help us keep it alive,” said Kimberly.

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of James Degan, you are encouraged to call the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office at 928-783-4427.
