Border Patrol Makes Another Big Meth Bust
U.S. Border patrol agents make yet another big drug bust. This time it involved more than 140-pounds of methamphetamine worth an estimated $330,000.
It happened Sunday afternoon along Interstate 15 near the Temecula checkpoint.
Agents say a K-9 sniffed out the meth. They say they found 33 bundles stashed inside the wood paneling in the truck’s bed.
The meth weighed nearly 144 pounds . It has a street value of $330,640.
Border Patrol arrested a 55-year-old U-S citizen, and confiscated the pickup.
San Diego Sector Border Patrol has seized nearly 3,500-pounds of meth since October of last year. The drugs are worth nearly $8-million.
