ICSO to handle dispatch services for city of Imperial

The city of Imperial is contracting the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office (ICSO) with their dispatch services for the next three years.

City officials said ISCO will be able to handle higher volumes of calls.

The move would streamline their resources with ICSO, who was already dispatching their calls for the fire department.

Sgt. Max Sheffield, of the Imperial Police Department, said ” The residents should be able to see more timely response. Not only from the dispatchers themselves but also from the police department. ”

The transition of their dispatch services to ICSO will be completed before the end of the month.
