Seven tiger cubs found dead, smuggled for consumption in China

Seven tiger cubs were found frozen to death inside a car in a parking lot in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam, reported The Epoch Times.

According to The Epoch Times, authorities arrested Nguyen Huu Hue and two other suspects on July 26 who allegedly smuggled seven dead tigers from the neighboring country of Laos.

The Epoch Times reported the dead animals were found in their car at a parking lot.

It’s not known if the cubs were smuggled from the wild or were sourced from the illegal tiger farms in Laos. The Epoch Times reports the cubs were meant for local consumption and some were to be smuggled in China.

The report states most of the tigers are supplied for consumption in China and Vietnam, where they mostly use for making wine and traditional medicines.
