Arizona has the highest number of pool fatalities involving children
Arizona is one of the states with the highest number of pool fatalities involving children. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC), summer months are the most dangerous days for these type of injuries to occur.
The most recent data from CDC show in the summer of 2018 the following states have the highest number of child drowning fatalities: Florida, Texas, California, Arizona, Tennessee, Illinois, and New Jersey.
Pools are considered an “attractive nuisance,” essentially meaning dangerous fun which will have a dramatic increase in homeowner’s liability.
