Over 100 car accidents reported in Somerton
The Somerton Fire Department reports over 100 car accidents in the last 18 months and six of those were fatal.
Chief Paul De Anda said that most of these accidents the fire department responds to have to do with distracted drivers and that social media plays a huge role.
“Most people are always thinking five steps ahead rather than focusing on what they’re doing at the moment which is driving. Unfortunately, people pay the price for that,” said Chief De Anda.
