10-month-old dies in hot car

A 10-month-old baby girl is dead after being left in a hot car Tuesday afternoon, reported NBC12.

NBC12 in Virginia reports police were called around 2 p.m. in Richmond after a call had been made of a child needing assistance.

Neighbors stated the child was left in the car while an adult went inside a grocery store.

The child was transported to the hospital where she later died.

Look before you lock – is a tip experts recommended to people driving with children. In a lot of cases, parents have reported they forgot about their child in the backseat.

According to NBC12, the investigation is still ongoing.
