Homeowner shoots suspect in failed burglary
An unsuccessful burglary led one man to the hospital Monday night.
A 30-year-old man entered a home through a kitchen window near South Avenue A and 7th Street just before 10 p.m., according to YPD .
YPD said the suspect was met by the homeowner who shot the suspect once inside the home.
The suspect was rushed to Yuma Regional Medical Center from the scene with non-life-threatening injuries.
He has since been flown to a Phoenix-area hospital for further treatment, according to YPD .
