Fireworks safety tips for the 4th of July
Thousands across the nation are preparing for the Fourth of July celebrations and so are residents in the Desert Southwest.
Fireworks sellers in the area are encouraging resident to celebrate safely. ” You cannot relight a dud for the parents to just be aware of kids not aiming these fireworks at each other and to always be behind the explosion, ” said Deborah Ybarra , the executive director of one of the fireworks stands.
Ybarra said that no matter the size of the firework they can all be potentially dangerous if they’re not handled properly. ” All the way down to a sparkler can reach 118 degrees and it can get to the heat melting gold, ” said Ybarra .
