Fifth-wheel trailer consumed by fire

A family is now without a home after their fifth-wheel trailer was consumed by flames in the Foothills area early Wednesday morning.

According to the Rural Metro Fire Department, firefighters arrived at the scene at the 12000 block of 35th Place to find a fifth-wheel trailer on fire. All occupants were out of the home at that time.

Fire officials said the fire was quickly put out to avoid it from spreading to other trailers on the property.

Red Cross was contacted to help assist the family and their pet who were affected by the incident.
