YPD: Four armed robberies reported within 10 days
Four armed robberies have happened within 10 days at Yuma convenience stores.
The Yuma Police Department said they are currently looking for one male suspect in connection to the robberies that began on April 23.
“It appears to be the same person. [He’s] wearing hoodies. [He’s] wearing bandanas. They appear to be the same height, same stature, and possibly the same voice tone,” explained Sgt. Lori Franklin.
She explained the male is described as 5’7-5’8.
The other three incidents were reported on April 30 and May 2. Each incident happening during the early hours of the morning, according to Sergeant Lori Franklin, YPD.
The incidents were reported at Circle K and Chevron convenience stores located near 4th Avenue and 32nd Street, 8th Avenue and 32nd Street and 20th Street and Avenue A.
One Circle K was targeted twice.
Police were able to get a description of the alleged thief’s vehicle described as a red Ford Expedition. They add the vehicle was also stolen.
