Search continues for Holtville missing woman

82-year-old, Esperanza Hartman, was last seen at her home where she lives with her husband, in a trailer, just seven miles from Holtville.

Officials say Hartman went missing Sunday and has not returned since.

Her grandson David Hartman, found out about her disappearance through Facebook.

“At first I didn’t believe it, you know cause it’s kinda odd. Until yesterday, the police came to our home looking for her, the area we’re in, which is Mojave County,” said Hartman.

Hartman says both his grandparents have early signs of memory loss.

“We don’t know, at this moment we are just getting speculations. We’re not getting the actual facts. From my understanding my grandpa reported her missing by talking to family and friends,” said Hartman.

It’s a disappearance that has the community of Holtville questioning where she is.

“They would just come to Holtville all the time. I mean they were apart of holtville,” said Lydia Larson, a Holtville resident.

The Imperial County Sheriff’s Department has launched a search and rescue investigation.

Hartman is 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 160 pounds. She has brown eyes and gray hair.

If you have any information contact the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office at (442) 265-2021.
