Protestors line the streets of Calexico upon President Trump’s arrival

Chants like “Si se puede,” could be heard down the streets of Calexico Friday morning.

Dozens of protestors gathered in Downtown Calexico ahead of President Trump’s arrival to the Desert Southwest.

Nearly 100 protestors marched along the border to ensure their voices were heard.

“The wall is not going to work. I mean they can build the wall up, but as long as people can see the sky they’re going to seek opportunity. We’re all immigrants,” said Ernesto Avila, a protester.

Upon arrival at the Gran Plaza outlet mall was a blimp that depicted President Trump as a baby in a diaper.

There were also counter-protestors who traveled from Yuma to express their support for President Trump.

“We’re being invaded. This is definitely a border emergency,” expressed Ralph Thwood and Linda Jung.
