Woman attempts to flee from Border Patrol, crashes into canal
A woman, who was suspected of smuggling two illegal immigrants, attempted to flee from Border Patrol agents and crashed into a canal Thursday.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said the 22-year-old woman fled from agents after picking up two illegal immigrants in a vehicle. CBP officials added that she crashed into a canal, endangering the lives of the two Mexican nationals of ages 34 and 46.
The female driver and both men were arrested. The driver faces charges for felony human smuggling.
