Fourth migrant dies in CBP custody
A 40-year-old migrant has died after being apprehended for illegal entry, according to US Customs and Border Protection.
This is the fourth fatality reported in recent months.
CBP said the migrant was detained on Sunday and was diagnosed with flu-like symptoms, liver failure, and renal failure.
The man died at Las Palmas Medical Center and CBP said his death is being investigated.
The man’s identity has not been released at this time.
