DIRECTV offering incentives to those impacted by the removal of KYMA & KSWT
DIRECTV is offering some incentives to local subscribers after removing some local stations from its lineup.
On February 22, DIRECTV made a unilateral decision to remove this station, owned by Northwest Broadcasting, from its viewers in the Mississippi Delta.
The choice to remove the stations came after Northwest had granted 24 unconditional extensions over a 13-month period. DIRECTV chose to ignore the offer for yet another extension and removed Northwest owned stations with no warning to viewers, despite a promise that DIRECTV makes to its customers that the satellite operator will never be the one to remove local stations from its lineup.
Now, DIRECTV is offering incentives to those subscribers impacted by their decision to remove this station from DIRECTV.
Incentives offered by DIRECTV include as much as a $70 credit off their annual bill, and sending out free over-the-air antennas to capture our over-the-air signal.
If you are impacted by the DIRECTV outage, call DIRECTV to share your views. Their number is 1-800-531-5000.
