Grand Canyon celebrates centennial milestone
Since February 26, 1919, the Grand Canyon has been recognized as a national park. Today, the park reaches a major milestone: being a national park for a centennial.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Grand Canyon welcomes approximately six million domestic and international visitors each year, according to National Park Service.
The Grand Canyon continues to provide a space for visitors to hike, take a stroll, or enjoy the massive landscape.
In 2019, the Grand Canyon National Park will honor the past and inspire the future to come experience and protect the national park.
