An elderly woman in Arizona was tricked into fraud of more than two thousand dollars after a year of romantically talking online.
The woman is an elderly widow who thought she met someone online but was later tricked into a fraud scheme that would teach her a lesson on online dating.
The woman did not want to be identified and is warning those who may be thinking about sending money through these websites.
The better business bureau says the woman’s story is an example of scammers who create fake profiles on dating websites to ask for money.
The woman’s message to us all is “Don’t ever give money to anyone online.”
