Yuma Mayor releases statement for those affected by the shutdown

Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls has released a statement in regards to those being affected by the government shutdown.

Nicholls said:

“FEDERAL EMPLOYEES – The City of Yuma is with you! If you are on furlough, working or not, the City will not assess late fees on your water bill or turn off water service for unpaid bills while you are on furlough. Bring your federal ID and furlough letter to the customer service counter at City Hall to sign up for this program. The City supports and values our federal workers and their families.”
