American Red Cross ‘sounds the alarm’ in Yuma
It’s their way of saving lives in the Yuma community. Saturday morning, volunteers from the American Red Cross installed close to a hundred smoke alarms in the homes of residents at the Country Road RV Park.
American Red Cross Disaster Coordinator, Eligio Rivas said it’s important to be prepared for any disaster.
“You may never know when a disaster will strike. And so it can strike here it can be one of the neighbors and so on. And so this is the reason as to why we do things like this for the community,” said Rivas.
The event is part of their “Sound The Alarm” program which has saved countless lives since 2012.
