Los Ramones group to perform in Founder’s Day celebration
The Los Ramones De Nuevo Leon came together at the Hyundai dealership in Yuma Saturday.
Before performing at the Founder’s Day celebration, Hyundai wanted to give fans a chance to meet the singers of Los Ramones.
The band, made up of 9 young musicians got to meet with fans and even previewed several songs they plan on singing at Joe Orduño park.
The celebration that began with a parade this morning and continues throughout Saturday, recognizes the founding of San Luis.
Angel Rubalcava, sales manager for Hyundai of Yuma, said he brought Los Ramones to the dealership because he wanted to help promote their performance at the Founder’s Day celebration.
Rubalcava said he wanted the community to be able to meet the musicians because they can be a good influence on the younger generation in Yuma.
“You have these great artists that are inspiring these young kids to grow and to inspire their artistry, ” Rubalcava said.
Jaime Flores and Jose Flores, members of Los Ramones, said they are excited to be able to perform for the community.
Jaime said he is especially excited because the boys are supporting a non-profit foundation that they will be able to share with the community.
Jose said the best part of being in a music group like theirs at such a young age is that he was able to learn traditional music from his father.
Jaime said when he first started performing, he was nervous about what people would think about them.
He said his motivation is knowing that he is a role model to other young artists.
