SDSU President visits Imperial Valley campus
The President of San Diego State University President visited the Imperial Valley campus Wednesday.
It was an opportunity for Dr. Adela De La Torre to meet the community and get to know the local campus.
She also listened to input from students and staff members on how to improve the college and what is needed to help the campus grow.
“The most important thing is to listen. To find out what the issues and priorities are. And so it was really important to me to hear what the students were interested in because I want to make sure that we can ensure their success at every level. Not only in terms of their academics, success but their personal success,” said De La Torre.
De La Torre also announced the campus’ new bachelor’s degree program starting in 2020.
