Arizona Republican Party plans for Rep. McSally and VP visit
The Arizona Republican Party will be welcoming Representative Martha McSally and Vice President Mike Pence in Yuma Friday.
Jonathan Lines, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, said his phone has been ringing off the hook with support for McSally and excitement for the Vice President’s arrival.
“Especially on the heels of the president’s visit last year, which was an official visit. This being a campaign stop on behalf of Martha McSally should just send that clear message that the White House is interested in making sure that Martha McSally wins the bid for the U.S. Senate to represent Arizona,” said Lines.
McSally plans to visit the agriculture community, according to Lines.
[Tuesday,] we had Kyrsten Sinema in town who spoke with two growers and now [McSally is] going to meet with the other two to 300 who are actually supporting her. You’ll probably have 99 percent of the agricultural community here in Arizona, specifically here in Yuma,” said Lines.
Lines claimed local growers are supportive of McSally because of her hard stance on securing the border and lowering taxes.
McSally will be just miles away from the southern border that she is looking to secure and may pay a visit.
There are unconfirmed reports that McSally could also be visiting the Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
