Zombie Run sure to cause a frightful night of fun and fitness

On Saturday night, the City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department is kicking off their series of runs with the Zombie Run at Desert Sun Stadium.

The run begins promptly at 6:00 P.M.

According to the Facebook event page, “runners will earn 5 points and walkers will earn a star for participating in this non-timed event.”

Participants are encouraged to dress up in their best zombie costume and a prize will be given to the best costume.

Though the pre-registration deadline has passed, you can still sign up on-site for $26.

On-site registration and bib pickup will be from 5:00-5:45 P.M.

If you offered to volunteer for the event, the Parks and Recreation Department asks that you meet at the stadium no later than 5:30 P.M.

The run will be followed by a movie in the park at 7:30 P.M.
