Parks and Recreation Department hosts Spruce Up Your Park Day
On Saturday, the City of Yuma Parks and Recreation Department hosted a Spruce Up Your Park day at the West Wetlands Park.
From 7 A.M. to 10 A.M., volunteers came out to the park to clean up the new Playa Linda Beach.
The man goal of the day was to work on expanding the walking trail that goes along the park.
Volunteers came together with rakes in hand to spread gravel along the trail.
They were advised to bring a hat, close-toed shoes and a pair of gloves.
The event was free and open to people of all ages as a way to lend a helping hand to further improve the park.
