High school student creates video for $200k scholarship fund

A student at Cibola High School in Yuma is working on an advocacy campaign to get the message out about the stigmas associated with kids that attend public school.

The student and creator of this video, Jillian Kravitz describes the message as, “students taking a stand against the negative stereotypes we felt were being conveyed through current politics against us!”

Her hope is to have it shared through social media and in turn submit it towards a a scholarship project worth $200k.

Student with scholarship video had a clarification… she said that the project/video was made because of her passion for public education and the stereotypes out there. The scholarship could happen and the video and social media campaign and such will be part of the larger application for the scholarship. Hope that makes sense. In other words, she made this cool video because she’s passionate about advocating for public ed. Now she’s using it to apply for a scholarship worth $200K.

Sorry for the confusion.
