Brain-building games for more family time

Now that kids are going back to school, families are looking for ways to spend more time while avoiding the use of technology.

The Marbles Brain Workshop shares board game options that have a cognitive but fun approach for families.

Co-Founder and Vice President Scott Brown, shared some ideas on certain board games that are great for spending time even if the family is on the go.

“Yeah you know it is a busy time as kids go back to school and so I love the games and create this sort of magnetic element in a home where kids will gather with parents and play and we’ve got some pretty great games, marbles workshop was really created to offer to the family a game experience for families to play,” said Brown.

Some of the games are strategy based and Brown says they offer friendly competition.

“One of our best is a game called Otrio. Otrio was like tic tac toe but so much better because it doesn’t’t end in tie games, got rid of the x’s and now you’re trying to just get three rows in a row and you can do it three different ways. It’s a really fun competitive game, we also have a travel version of the game called Otrio,” said Brown.
