Slab City resident believes suspect who’s accused of sexually molesting a minor is innocent
Area residents are speaking out about the man accused of sexually molesting two children in Slab City saying he shouldn’t be charged. The Imperial County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Michal Dibble Saturday, July 28th , after being accused of sexually molesting minors. He was arrested for lewd acts with a child under 14 among other related charges. News 11 spoke with a man who he says knows Dibble and said he is innocent. Bob Waguespack, a seasonal resident in Slab City, said Dibble’s friends never saw that side of him. “I don’t believe he did it. His friends don’t believe it. I know people that known him since they were in grade school. They say no, they’ve never seen that in his nature,” said Waguespack. Dibble’s bail is set at $500,000.
