Fully engulfed truck blocks traffic
It’s an all to common occurrence that can be dangerous and frightening for those affected. On Thursday, July 26, 2018 fire crews responded to 16th Street just east of Arizona Avenue for a vehicle fire. The vehicle in question is a late model Ford F-150; police blocked traffic for safety precautions since the vehicle is equipped with a large gas tank and the fumes are toxic.
No word on what caused this particular vehicle to catch on fire; in most cases it’s an exposed electrical wire that sparks fumes located in the engine compartment.
