APS still working to restore power in Yuma

UPDATE (12:07 P.M.)

As of Tuesday afternoon APS is still working to restore power in Yuma where residents have been affected.

The estimated customers impacted has decreased to 22 and the estimated restoration time is 3:45 p.m. according to APS.

We will keep you updated with any new information.

Almost 2,000 residents are without power due to service interruption to a major power line Monday evening. APS said they are working to restore power in Yuma where residents have been impacted.

The area most impacted is from County 19 1/2 St. to Interstate 8 and Avenue 8E to Fortuna Rd with 1,899 customers currently without power.

APS crews are on scene and power is expected to be restored by Tuesday at 4:30 a.m.

60 additional customers in the area of County 13 1/2 St. to County 14 1/2 and Avenue E to Avenue C are also without power. APS said troubleshooting is the cause of the outage. Power is expected to be restored by Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

If you have been affected make sure to not open your fridge. APS also reimburses for bags of ice. Make sure to keep your receipts.
