Meeting for the preliminary budget for 2019
The city of Yuma will have a meeting to go over the preliminary budget for next year. This meeting is part one of a two part process where council members can bring up suggestions as to where they think the money should go. Once a budget is agreed, the approval of the amount will take place a couple weeks later.
“We’re looking at just over $220 million overall, with about 40 percent of that going towards capital improvements, which are roads, bridges, water sewer and buildings such as the Fleet maintenance facility,” said Dave Nash, City Spokesperson.
A facility that is greatly needed in Yuma for our city vehicles like firetrucks and ambulances to be properly repaired. The meeting takes place at 6pm on May 16th and the final meeting will be sometime in June.
