Arizona recognized for its testing sites
It’s the state’s claim to fame when it comes to military testing; sunshine and plenty of it. That’s why it’s the ideal place to test the weapons which will be used in battles to come. For fiscal year 2019 the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee approved its national defense budget and hundreds of millions will be spent in the Grand Canyon state.
Among the projects listed to be on schedule is an A-10 wing, buying 77 new Joint Strike Fighters and building the infrastructure to go with them, Also continued testing of the stryker program and the latest version of the tomahawk missile. In an article with Homeland Preparedness News U.S. Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ), a member of the committee, said Arizona’s weather, airspace and diverse network of military facilities make the state a “premier location” for the U.S. Department of Defense.
