Good Samaritans Rescue Sinking Driver

A crash on a bridge on Florida’s Highway 19 sent a car through a guardrail and into the water below Wednesday morning.

Troopers said Nicole Bankston, 35, told them she swerved to miss something in the road and hit a curb then. Bankston said she overcorrected and crossed into another lane through the bridge barrier.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said construction crews building a new bridge to cross Lake Harris rescued the driver by using a rope to pull her out of the water as her vehicle became submerged. Read more: http://bit.ly/2IxBJzA
