YPD arrest driver in possession of narcotics

The Yuma Police Department arrested 53-year-old David Lee Kendall after he was found to be in possession of narcotics on Wednesday at approximately 2:02 p.m.

YPD conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation in the 2400 block of Araby Road on a Toyota sedan when Kendall was found with possession of narcotics.

Officers found 56.9 grams of methamphetamine, 12.6 grams of cocaine, 2.2 grams of heroin, 21.2 grams of marijuana, 13 narcotic pills identified as Oxycodone, 14 pills identified as Lorazepam, items consistent with narcotic sales and a loaded handgun.

Kendall was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for the following charges:

Transportation of a narcotic Possession of a narcotic for sale Possession of a narcotic Transportation of a dangerous drug Possession of a dangerous drug for sale Possession of a dangerous drug Possession of drug paraphernalia Misconduct involving weapons Possession of a weapon by a prohibited possessor.
