School closures to continue Monday for local school districts
School closures will continue for Monday as rallies resume for better school funding for educators in support of the Red for Ed movement.
Gadsden Elementary School District
Gadsden Elementary School District released a statement Friday saying their schools will continue with their closures for Monday, April 30th.
The district will continue to have their school cafeterias open to provide breakfast for students from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
Somerton School District
Somerton School District released a statement Friday through Facebook staying schools will remain closed on Monday, April 30th.
School cafeterias will remain open to serve breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Free meals will be available for anyone 18 years of age and under.
Yuma School District One
All Yuma School District One schools will be closed on Monday, April 30th due to the Arizona Educators United walk-out.
The district will continue to have their school cafeterias open to provide breakfast for students from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Yuma Union High School District
YUHSD will be announcing their decision whether to continue closures for district schools on Saturday, April 28th.
