El Centro Walmart remodel project completed

El Centro residents will get their first look at the newly remodeled Walmart Super Center on Friday, April 27.

The much anticipated project has been completed and to celebrate the grand opening, there will be a community celebration that will include free food and promotions.

The celebration begins at 9 a.m. and the ribbon-cutting is scheduled to begin at 9 :15 a.m.

Customers will enjoy the following store improvements:

State-of-the-art electronics department with interactive displays that allow customers to try laptops, tablets, mobile phones and more before purchase Enhanced baby department with strollers at floor level and easier access to everyday essentials like diapers and formula Larger assortment of industrial and power tools in hardware New lights and register added in cosmetics area Expanded home and apparel departments with new layout and broader assortment Improved layout in produce and bakery Completely new pharmacy with private consultation room and additional service lanes Newly added Walmart MoneyCenter
