Multiple semi-trucks line the freeway to help a suicidal man

Thirteen semi-trucks lined up under a highway overpass to help save the life of a suicidal man.

Michigan State Police took this photo and posted it on Twitter. The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Tuesday morning. The suicidal man was threatening to jump from a bridge on to I-696. Police closed the road down. The trucks arrived and lined up underneath the overpass in order to shorten the fall in case the man were to jump. Multiple law enforcement agencies were talking the man into not jumping. He was eventually taken to the hospital for evaluations and the freeway re-opened 3 hours later.

Law enforcement want to remind the public that anyone who is suicidal can get help by calling the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255.
