Yuma Sector Border Patrol welcomes the Arizona National Guard

The Yuma Sector Border Patrol welcomed Arizona National Guard soldiers and airmen at their headquarters.
The 25 National Guard members were greeted and given instructions on support requirements last week. They were assigned jobs that include being a criminal analyst, camera operator, and providing training assistance. Other jobs included administration and vegetation clearing.

Over the next few months, Border Patrol says they will have more than 60 National Guard members. The amount of time they stay depend on the mission requirements.

“The success of Yuma Sector begins with hard working employees, synergistic partnerships with local, state, federal and tribal agencies and the continued support of local citizens and communities. Yuma Sector is highly appreciative of the support we will receive from the men and women of the Arizona National Guard,” Deputy Chief Patrol Agent Carl Landrum said.
