Somerton PD reports false attempted kidnapping
The Somerton Police Department responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old male student walking to Somerton Middle School this morning.
Numerous law enforcement agencies were alerted and assisted, to include an air unit from the U.S. Border Patrol.
Upon further investigation by detectives and patrol officers from the Somerton Police Department this report was found to be false.
This juvenile matter is being handled by the Somerton Police Department in cooperation with the Somerton School District.
