Tucson police: Man fatally stabbed in alley near UA campus

Tucson police say a man is dead after being stabbed during an altercation near the University of Arizona campus.

Police say a driver early Friday morning potted the fatally wounded man on the ground in an alley behind an apartment complex along with a woman later identified as his sister.

She also was injured but the nature of her injuries isn’t immediately known though they’re said to be non-life threatening.

Police say the man was involved in an altercation with another man, and the sister was hurt when she came to the aid of her brother.

No identities were released.

The incident occurred near Park Avenue and Eighth Street.
