Palo Verde Water System holds groundbreaking ceremony
The Palo Verde Water District held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for the Palo Verde Water Treatment Plant Improvements in Blythe, Calif.
The objective of the project is to provide additional water storage and ensure efficiency, redundancy, and safety for the Surface Water Treatment Plant.
The project includes repairing two existing wells or drilling of new sources and water treatment reliability features. This also includes a filter, sodium hypochlorite disinfection, and a chlorine analyzer.
State funds will cover $289,914 and Prop 1 Water System Infrastructure Improvements and Safety Drinking Water will provide $958,108.
The project is set to cost around $1,248,022 and is estimated to be completed by December 1st.
