Colorful skies light up the Desert Southwest

UPDATE (9:40 P.M.)

According to Aircraft Spots’s Twitter page, a U.S. Ballistic Missile Submarine was scheduled to launch Monday from a launch area West of San Diego, Calif. The missile is expected to land in the waters east of Guam.

We have been receiving reports of colorful lights across the skies of Yuma County and Imperial County.

Many of our viewers have been submitting photos to us.

We are investigating to figure out what caused this and will share any information as it becomes available.
