‘March For Our Lives’ in Yuma
Students from across the country are continuing the conversation about stricter gun laws by participating in the ‘March For Our Lives’ movement.
On Saturday morning kids and families will take the streets in Washington D.C. but in Yuma, the call to action will take place at Yuma City Hall.
The ‘March for Our Lives’ was created in response to the tragedy in Parkland, Florida, where 17 lives were lost in a school shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School.
The movement is led by students who want to end the epidemic of mass school shootings but also be heard by lawmakers for stricter gun laws from around the world.
In Yuma, the march will begin at Snider Auditorium at 9 a.m. where organizers are hoping it will be a learning experience but an inspiration for change.
