Finding a common goal for a brighter future for Brawley

The Brawley Main Street Rally began as an idea of how to bring a town together. Mirella Escalante along with her brother organized the event so she could make a difference in the community. She said, “but I’m also a part of the community. So it’s more,what can I do to contribute, for that positive…movement. That’s what it comes down to.” Mirella says, the event gives the people a chance to have their voices heard. ” Be able to…meet…make functions where we can all together have ideas. Those that might not feel like their heard…come together. This is the time that we can grow and be strong together. Again, engaging with one another.”

By coming together for the same cause, she believes the community can thrive. ” That’s the beauty of it. That’s everybody is getting together for a cause that we believe in. To be a strong community, engage with each other.”

The Brawley Main Street Rally will take place at Inferno from 6-8 p.m. tomorrow night and is a free event. There will be live music, vendors and speakers from all parts of the city.
