Kahlo festival a success despite the rain

The first Frida Kahlo festival took place Saturday, March 17th at the Palomino Arts Gallery. Despite the drizzle of rain, the festival was a success bringing an array of art to the desert southwest from talented local artists.

Sculptures, ceramics, jewelry are just a couple art pieces that surrounded the festival. Along with food vendors and of course, music.

Artist, Millie Verdugo showcased a life-size Frida at the festival and expressed her gratitude towards the influence the artist has on her life and work.
