Motorcycle crash sends two to hospital

On Friday, just after twelve in the afternoon emergency crews received a call of a possible motorcylce crash on Interstate 8 near Mohawk. Once on scene troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety secured the scene and found that both riders were in serious need of medical car. Emergency staff from Tacna Fire and Rural Metro Fire Department were called in to render aid.

According to troopers they believe the driver of the motorcycle lost control and then crashed into the median. Helicopters were called in to transport the two patients to area hospitals. Traffic on the Interstate was closed off for a short period to allow medical staff to care for the riders. Both riders were listed in serious condition.
